  • Explain the anatomical and functional relationships between the pelvic floor, core muscles, and overall musculoskeletal health during perimenopause.

  • Assess and identify common pelvic floor conditions and symptoms using appropriate screening techniques and patient communication skills.

  • Demonstrate effective strategies for discussing sensitive pelvic health topics and implementing screening tools in clinical practice.

  • Evaluate when referral to pelvic physical therapy is appropriate and develop interdisciplinary care strategies for perimenopausal patients.

  • Design patient education approaches that normalize pelvic floor health discussions and encourage early intervention.

  • Analyze the components of pelvic physical therapy assessment and treatment to better understand its role in managing perimenopausal symptoms.
